WHAT I DO STILL DO FOR FUN

TODAY

Fifty-five years later, I continue to hang around railroad depots. My favorite haunts are now 800 miles north of my Claremont roots. During 2007, I visited more than fifty train depots, active and abandoned, throughout far northern California.

Nearing age 66, I retain my love for the outdoors and for camping in pristine areas, but I no longer spend hours frequenting swimming holes. Instead, I become up close and personal with locomotives and freight cars, often right in my own wilderness front yard.
